What to Tell My Family by Bridget Spagnuolo

Being undecided can be difficult. Not only do you have to deal with the stress of looking to find a major, but you have to deal with the stress of your family asking about your major. With the holidays right around the corner, the stress of these dreaded could not be higher. Upon sight of distant relatives, it is almost certain that they will ask the same two questions: “How is school?” and “What’s your major?”. That second question is very difficult to for those who are undecided because it then leads to the question asking what you might be interested in. This question can be even more frustrating because the honest answer is that if we knew, we would have a major. The best way to respond to your family to tell them about your classes. Explain the things that you like and the things you don't like because ultimately, that will be the factor that leads you to a major.

  1. This is great advice, I can't relate but I can only imagine how this could feel. Do you think that this blog has helped you get closer to finding a major?
