   Horticulture is all about plants. People might not notified the importance for the plants that take parts in our life, but they are all around the place for human uses by the fruit, vegetables, the fragrance, and the views they bring us. I read an article today called” Feeling unlucky? These plants can help you” and found that was really interesting because it shows how does the simple plants bring happiness to people by such easy ways and how do horticulture helps people by knowing the right method of growing plants.
    In these article is basically introduce some plants that we commonly seen in our life and how will they affect people positively. Horticulture is the field that helps identifying plants for their characteristic, and cultivating more and better breeds of plants for specific uses. By knowing the functions of each plants from these video, we could notice the importance of horticulture because people would get information of different kind of plants and learn the way to grow them by using the right way of fertilizing and irrigating. The good use of plants can bring a lot of benefits  to human. As taking couple examples from the article, indoor plants like peace lily could prevent asthma, headache,chronic illness, cancer and more, it can also clean out formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide from the ambient air. Lavender is known for its mood-elevating and calming properties. Its scent could bring people a sense of inner peace. The lavender oil is also be used for facial care and improvement of sleeping.
   It’s good to know the impact that every plant could take to people and which are the ones that suitable and easier for growing inside or outside the house. So horticulture is vital for every family, not just the professional growers for farms or greenhouses.

  1. Interesting, I wasn't aware of the effects plants had on humans. I wonder if there is some type of chemical reaction that goes on in your brain triggered by the plant. That would be cool if we could harness the effects plants have on our bodies.
